Launched in 2017, our journey reflects a commitment to creating exceptional shoes that seamlessly integrate trendy styles, comfort, and quality for both the modern and active woman and man.
Within a year of its launch, the brand achieved a significant milestone by opening its first physical store in (Casablanca). This marked a major step towards establishing a stronger presence and providing a tangible shopping experience for customers. Building on the initial success, the brand continued its expansion in 2019 by opening stores in Rabat and Tangier, two prominent cities in Morocco. This strategic move allowed the brand to tap into a wider customer base and reach more women who were seeking stylish and contemporary footwear options.
Our Heritage
Inspired by a family deeply rooted in the shoe industry, our founder Zineb Laroussi has cultivated a genuine appreciation for the craft, a strong affinity for shoes and a keen understanding of market dynamics. Her knowledge and expertise passed down through generations, fuels her ambition to establish a shoe brand that not only mirrors her vision but also caters to the evolving needs of fashion-conscious individuals.
The Founder
Our founder, hailing from Casablanca, embarked on a transformative journey. Her educational path had led her to the realm of strategic marketing, while her unwavering passion for footwear continued to flourish. Armed with her credentials, she eventually ventured into a multitude of industries, including computer hardware, pharmaceuticals, organic cosmetics, luxury jewelry, and printing equipment.
With a lifelong connection to the shoemaking craft, she nurtured within her family. She fondly recalls accompanying her father to his shoe factory during her childhood, sparking the ember of her entrepreneurial dream. Her unwavering dedication and undivided passion for footwear eventually led to the realization of her dream, culminating in the creation of her self-titled shoe brand ‘Zila Russi’ an ingenious anagram of her name.
L'Atelier
In 2021, we embarked on a transformative journey by establishing our own manufacturing factory, known as ‘L’Atelier.’ This state-of-the-art facility is where our skilled artisans and craftsmen handcraft each pair of shoes, embracing tradition and innovation to ensure meticulous attention to detail and the highest quality standards. At L’Atelier, we take pride in the art of handmade shoemaking, using the finest and most sublime leather materials from Morocco and Italy to create footwear that epitomizes style, comfort, and quality.
